When donor eggs are considered.
Donor-egg treatment may be discussed when using one's own eggs is not possible or is unlikely to be appropriate. The decision deserves a personal discussion about your health, previous treatment, expectations and family plans. Considering donor eggs can bring relief, uncertainty and many feelings at once—there is room for all of them.
Understanding the medical path is only part of understanding whether it feels right for you. Ask about counseling support and take the time you need. There is no obligation to settle every feeling at the first appointment.
Brazil Fertility is the English-speaking international patient program of Grupo Nilo Frantz / ENNE. Medical care takes place at the identified clinic and physician in your care plan.
Donor-egg cycles should be interpreted separately from own-egg cycles when you read outcome statistics. Ask which denominators apply. Understanding success rates on this site explains why definitions matter more than a single headline percentage.
Brazil pathway at a high level.
The clinical process typically includes assessment, review of the donation pathway, laboratory fertilization and embryo development, and preparation for a possible transfer. Your team explains donor screening, matching, availability and the information that can be shared under the applicable rules.
Our clinics combine local donor banks with third-party donor providers and partner banks, broadening the range of donor options available for individualized matching. We do not publish wait times, inventory sizes or matching guarantees on this website.
Most international pathways begin with an online consultation, then assessment and preparation—some of which may take place near home when your physician agrees. Travel to São Paulo or Porto Alegre is timed around the clinical schedule your team confirms. Donor pathways can shift stay length relative to an own-egg retrieval cycle; ask how transfer timing and any return visit are reflected in your plan.
Laboratory fertilization may use conventional IVF or ICSI depending on clinical judgment. Embryo development is followed in the laboratory; genetic testing may be discussed when it answers a meaningful question—PGT is not automatic. Transfer timing follows endometrial preparation and your physician’s plan.
Regulation and confidentiality—high-level only.
Assisted reproduction in Brazil is framed by ANVISA’s sanitary requirements for reproductive cells and embryos and by CFM Resolution 2,320/2022 for medical ethics. The resolution addresses non-commercial gamete and embryo donation, confidentiality rules with limited kinship exceptions, and clinic responsibilities such as medical leadership registration and permanent records.
CFM also sets upper limits on how many embryos may be transferred according to the recipient’s age—and uses donor age at collection when donor oocytes are involved—with a separate rule for euploid embryos after genetic diagnosis. We paraphrase only at this level. Do not treat this page as legal advice or a full translation of CFM rules.
For donor pathways and transfer decisions, your treating physician explains how the rules apply to your plan. Confirm eligibility, anonymity or information-sharing details, and consent paperwork with the treating clinic—we do not invent ages, anonymity schemas or donor-selection criteria beyond what is already stated on our regulation pages.
Cost orientation—no invented donor prices.
This site does not publish a standalone donor-egg IVF USD package or a separate donor-fee range. Pricing varies by pathway, laboratory work, medication, genetic testing when indicated, and transfer planning—ask the treating clinic for figures that match your situation.
For orientation on IVF treatment-cost categories more broadly, our clinical group’s average in Brazil is around US$6,000–$8,000 (clinical care, examinations, medication, laboratory procedures, indicated genetic testing and transfer). That average is not a donor-egg quote and is not a fixed package. FertilityIQ’s U.S. cycle average of $23,474 is cited elsewhere on this site only as a comparator for corresponding cost categories.
Budget travel separately. Concierge support is included; airfares and hotels are paid separately. No final price can be established before consultations and necessary examinations.
Clinics in São Paulo and Porto Alegre.
ENNE in Jardim América, São Paulo, lists donor-egg treatment among its published services, alongside IVF, IUI, egg freezing and related care. Nilo Frantz Medicina Reprodutiva in Porto Alegre likewise offers donor-egg pathways within the group’s reproductive medicine practice.
Both centers belong to Grupo Nilo Frantz. Brazil Fertility coordinates English-speaking communication and practical support for international patients. Clinic choice is clinical and practical once a plan is clearer—you do not need to pick a city before the first conversation.
Questions beyond medicine.
How will I think about this choice over time? What information will be available about the donor? What conversations might I want to have with my family? Useful clinical questions also include how screening and matching work, how CFM confidentiality rules are explained for your pathway, and how transfer limits are applied when donor oocytes are involved.
Ask how laboratory fees, testing fees and any return trip are reflected in your treatment budget. Separate donor-egg cycles from own-egg cycles when you interpret published outcome statistics elsewhere—definitions matter.
Preparing for the first conversation.
Useful topics include prior treatment history, how donor screening and matching are explained, what information can be shared under CFM confidentiality framing, and how transfer limits work when donor oocytes are involved.
Also ask how stay length may differ from an own-egg retrieval cycle, whether a later transfer visit is likely, and how costs will be itemized before you travel. Prefer flexible travel until dates are clinically confirmed.
Brazil Fertility can help you organize these questions in English and coordinate next steps with ENNE or Nilo Frantz once you are ready.
How to begin.
Start with an online consultation when you are ready. Share medical history through clinic-approved secure channels. Brazil Fertility helps coordinate the international journey; clinical decisions remain with your physician.
