Who considers egg freezing.
People consider egg freezing for personal timing, career or relationship plans, or because a medical situation may affect future fertility. Oncofertility discusses preservation alongside cancer care; other medical circumstances may also lead someone to explore freezing eggs. The timing and suitability of any procedure must be agreed with the treating medical team.
Freezing eggs preserves an opportunity, not a guarantee. Age, ovarian reserve, the number and quality of eggs available, survival after warming, fertilization and subsequent development all influence what may be possible later. Your specialist considers medical history before explaining what a cycle may reasonably achieve.
Brazil Fertility is the international-facing program of Grupo Nilo Frantz / ENNE—not a separate treating clinic. The treating clinic and physician are identified in your individual care plan.
Preserving eggs and preserving embryos involve different decisions about fertilization and future use. Some people freeze eggs to keep options open without fertilizing now; others discuss embryo freezing after fertilization. The right approach depends on your medical situation, preferences and consent.
Process overview—without inventing protocols.
Cryopreservation means freezing reproductive cells or embryos for possible later use. Egg freezing usually involves ovarian stimulation, monitoring, egg collection and freezing of suitable mature eggs. Your team monitors response and schedules retrieval after the final maturation trigger—details belong in your personal plan, not in a generic online calendar.
Vitrification is the rapid-freezing method described by our clinics for egg preservation. It uses cryoprotectants and rapid cooling to limit ice-crystal formation. Preserving eggs and preserving embryos involve different decisions about fertilization and future use; your physician explains which pathway is being discussed.
We do not publish fixed stimulation schedules or retrieval day counts. Confirm expected timing after assessment, and keep travel flexible until dates are clinically confirmed.
After retrieval, embryologists assess the oocytes and freeze those suitable for storage. Image-based oocyte assessment tools are among the systems our centers describe for counseling in egg-freezing contexts; availability does not mean a tool is used in every cycle. Your physician confirms what applies to your plan.
Storage, consent and travel considerations.
Before proceeding, ask where material will be stored, how storage fees are charged, what consent is required for future use, and how to keep contact details current. The decision to freeze is not the same as the decision to use those eggs later.
If moving material between countries is a future possibility, that needs a separate clinical, transport and regulatory review. Do not assume cross-border shipping is automatic.
Travel is timed around monitoring and retrieval. An egg-freezing cycle does not include embryo transfer on the same visit. Only your treating physician clears flying after retrieval; recovery and OHSS risk discussion are individual. Prefer flexible tickets until dates are confirmed. Your included concierge helps align flights and hotels with the clinical schedule; airfares and hotels are paid separately.
Cost orientation—what this site does and does not publish.
This site does not publish a standalone egg-freezing price list or USD range for oocyte cryopreservation cycles or annual storage. Pricing varies by cycle design, medication, laboratory work and storage terms—ask the treating clinic for figures that match your plan.
For orientation on stimulated IVF pathways more broadly, our clinical group’s average IVF treatment cost in Brazil is around US$6,000–$8,000 for corresponding categories (clinical care, examinations, medication, laboratory procedures, indicated genetic testing and transfer). That figure is an average for orientation—not a package, not a personal quote, and not an egg-freezing quote.
Build travel costs separately: airfares, hotels and everyday expenses. No individualized treatment plan or final price can be established before consultations and the necessary examinations.
Where care takes place.
Medical treatment takes place at ENNE in São Paulo or Nilo Frantz Medicina Reprodutiva in Porto Alegre—both part of Grupo Nilo Frantz. ENNE’s published services include egg freezing alongside IVF and related care; the Porto Alegre center likewise offers fertility preservation within the group’s reproductive medicine practice.
São Paulo offers a major international gateway and a dense hospitality scene around ENNE in Jardim América. Porto Alegre offers an established southern Brazilian medical destination with a quieter residential setting around Nilo Frantz in Três Figueiras. You do not need to choose a city before the first conversation.
Regulation framing at a high level.
Fertility care in Brazil sits under ANVISA’s sanitary and technical framework for reproductive cells and embryos, and under the Federal Council of Medicine’s ethical rules for assisted reproduction (CFM Resolution 2,320/2022). Laboratory cryopreservation and storage operate within that clinic-level sanitary context.
We do not invent eligibility ages, storage-duration limits or cross-border shipping rules beyond what is already discussed on our regulation and medicine pages. Confirm how CFM/ANVISA frameworks apply to your plan with the treating clinic.
Questions to take to a consultation.
What does assessment of ovarian reserve and medical history suggest about a cycle for me? How is vitrification explained at this center? Where will eggs be stored, and how are storage fees and consent handled over time?
How should I plan travel around monitoring and retrieval—and who clears flying afterward? If I might use these eggs in another country later, what clinical and regulatory reviews are needed? How do medication, laboratory and storage costs appear in a personalized estimate?
Bring these questions to your online consultation. Brazil Fertility helps coordinate English-speaking communication; answers come from the treating clinic.
How to begin.
Most international pathways start with an online consultation so you can meet a specialist and begin assessment from home. Share relevant history through clinic-approved channels—not the public website form for medical records.
When you are ready, contact Brazil Fertility to discuss whether egg freezing in Brazil may fit your situation. We coordinate English-speaking communication and practical support; clinical decisions remain with your physician.
