After fertilization, embryologists observe development over several days. Time-lapse incubation can provide a sequence of images while embryos remain in a controlled environment.
That sequence gives more than a single snapshot. It allows the team to review changes over time and consider the information alongside other laboratory observations.
Information needs interpretation.
The São Paulo clinic describes AI-supported egg assessment through Violet and Magenta reports, and embryo assessment through Claire. Each has a different role. None replaces the people responsible for interpreting the findings.
An algorithm cannot turn biological uncertainty into certainty. What matters is how a tool fits the clinical question, how its limitations are understood and how the information is explained to you.
